Matilda has provded editorial support for a range of business and organsiations across her career; she has edited in print and online, and has worked in literary, media and corporate environments. She trained as an editor at the University of Melbourne, where she completed a Masters of Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing (2013). 

Matilda has worked as an editor, proofreader and submissions manager, both in-house and on a freelance contract, for publishing houses including Penguin Random House and Black Inc. Books. She has worked on a variety of print and online publications, including Time Out Melbourne and Junkee. Matilda also taught Editorial English and Editing for Digital Media at a graduate level for several years, working in the Univeristy of Melbourne’s publishing department.

Matilda is available for freelance proofreading and editing work of any kind. She also provides manuscript assessments for fiction, narrative non-fiction, and young adult and children’s fiction manuscripts, at a competitive price.
